# Pricing

Creating an account is free, including organization creation and agent authorization. Hosted instances are prepaid: instance time, inference and storage draw from your organization's credit or funds. Charges begin only after an instance is provisioned. All prices are in US dollars.

Billing uses UTC calendar months and the time an instance actually runs, so a partial month is prorated. Resizing splits the charge at the moment the new size takes effect. A suspended instance loses its included storage.

## Starter credit

Account creation is free and requires no card. Saving and verifying your first card adds $15 to one organization's balance without charging it. The starter credit is available once per verified person, email address, card and organization. Automatic top-up stays off unless you enable it.

Micro is the default starting size. Invite teammates, connect your agents, build your knowledge graph and make decisions together. Instance time, inference and storage draw from your available balance; the credit does not promise a fixed number of days.

You can also download and run Hamster OSS locally, or deploy it on your own cloud VM, without a Hamster fee. Your cloud provider may charge for its resources.

## Paying

- Add funds under **Billing** → **Top Up**, from $10 to $10,000 at a time, or save a card under **Payment Methods**, then turn on **Automatic top-up** under **Top Up**.
- Starting, resuming or resizing an instance reserves funds from your balance. Without enough, Hamster asks you to add funds first.
- When the balance runs out, Hamster suspends compute and keeps your data. Adding funds resumes instances that billing paused.

## Invitation credit

Design Partners receive $150 by default, and an invitation can carry another amount set by the operator who invites you. No card is required to use invitation credit. Adding your eligible first card also earns $15, for $165 in total. The code works once, only for the invited email address, and expires after 30 days. When you claim it, the credit goes on your organization's billing.
